A Good Book is not your average book club. Started on Yahoo! groups in June 2008, A Good Book is meant for readers who want the community, encouragement and recommendations of a book club, but not the solid structure of one.

Here at A Good Book, we are not looking to be book snobs, we read anything and everything from romance to classic novels to nonfiction. We welcome deep thoughtful discussion, but we also welcome superficial conversation..."this book was good, that guy is hot", etc....

Every so often, we form book lists based on a theme. Readers are encouraged to read from the book lists and join forum discussions about those books. There is no deadline for reading the list. Book list participation is not required, you may also post discussions on other books, write recommendations on your blog, etc....

Occasionally, we will have an event such as a planned read, a chat meeting, a book swap, a partnered reading, etc... You are encouraged to take part, but it isn't required.
